Cubbington Seniors Association is a registered charity managed & run entirely by volunteers

Our focus is to promote the welfare and quality of Seniors' lives through the provision of a range of social and recreational activities for our members

There are no membership fees, many activities are either free or subsidised

HOWEVER NOT ALL SENIORS ARE ELDERLY!

WHAT DO WE DO?

Membership

Cubbington Seniors Association is run by an elected committee of trustees, supported by members who volunteer their time and energy to support the community

LOCAL EVENTS

We hold several member-only events at the Village Hall every month, including two afternoon get togethers where we provide a range of activities, guest speakers and live music.

There are weekly exercise classes, and bingo sessions twice a month.

We also hold skittles and quiz evenings with a fish & chip supper.

OUTINGS

Away from the Village Hall, our monthly Lunch Club visits local venues, we organise regular theatre visits and walks, as well as trips to a variety of places of interest, including coach outings. Most of these are member-only events, however subject to availability and for an additional charge, a members guest may be able to join an activity.

To keep in touch with our 400+ members, we produce our own monthly magazine 'Acorn News' which contains details of all our activities, together with useful information & advertisements for local businesses.

Membership is open to anyone aged 60 and above who lives in

the villages of Cubbington, Offchurch, Weston-under-Wetherley, Eathorpe, Hunningham and Wappenbury.

A younger spouse or partner, living at the same address, is also very welcome to join.

Fundraising

Cubbington & District OAP Association was founded in 1959 and became a charity in 1985

Its name was changed to Cubbington Seniors Association in 2024

We hold a number of sales and fund raising events throughout the year which are well supported by our members, the local community and businesses

Our Plant Sale this year will be held on 24th May 2025

Our raffles and Grand Christmas Draw are supported by our members through donations and ticket sales

Acorn500 is our monthly lottery where members & supporters can win cash prizes

We are fortunate to receive donations & bequests from our members & supporters which enables us to provide many different activities
